i love the story-telling images of barcelona-based photographer salva lópez. he seems to just slip in and capture the mood of a space perfectly — like a fly on the wall, there’s no disrupting the elements — just a very personal documentary of what’s taking place. this story, for instance, commissioned by client Monocle Magazine of a husband-and-wife team in their live/work apartment in spain. the creative couple decided to transform their apartment behind Madrid’s Paseo de Prado into a space in which they could live and work, and salva has managed to make us feel as though we’re actually in their comfortable abode — i can practically smell their lovely leather goods. you can see the full story on monocle (which is an amazing magazine if you don’t already subscribe!) and more images on the online portfolio of salva lópez.
